      RECIPE OF THE MONTH
      (Submitted by Pat Benak)

           MINI SPINACH BREAD

1 pkg. Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 pkg. frozen chopped Spinach (drained)
2 cloves garlic
4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 sm. can chopped black olives
Dash salt, pepper & red pepper flakes

Slice each roll into 2 triangle pieces.  Saute garlic in small amount of olive oil.  Squeeze water from spinach and add to garlic and sauté.  Add olives, seasonings & cheese to taste.  Scoop 1 tsp. of spinach mixture onto triangle dough and roll into a crescent shape.  Place on a cookie sheet.  Follow temperature directions on back of Pillsbury package for baking.  ENJOY!

Periodically, we will be reminding our residents of the rules, regulations and information necessary to keep the building running smoothly

CARTS

A cart has been placed on the 2nd and 3rd floor landing that can be used when bringing in your groceries and packages.  As a courtesy to all of our residents, please bring the cart back to the landing so that another resident can use it.

PARKING

Please park in your assigned parking space.  Visitor spaces are to be utilized by owners' guests and visitors to the sales office.    If you have a second car, it must be parked in one of the spaces located East of the parking garage.  Additional parking spaces are available for purchase.

SMOKING IN COMMON AREAS

The Renaissance is a non-smoking building.  This includes the stairwells, hallways, lobby and all rooms on the first floor.  Smoking is only permitted in your unit.  If you or your guests smoke on the balcony of your unit, please be sure to place your cigarette butts in a covered ashtray.  Do not discard the cigarette butts from the balcony.  Residents have found cigarettes on their balconies, in the swimming pool and pool deck, and on awnings of the parking garage.

PROPER ATTIRE IN COMMON AREAS

The Renaissance is a first class, elegant building.  If you are going to the pool, it is appropriate to wear a cover up and shoes.  Bare feet are not permitted at any time in the common areas of the building.  Be aware that the floors of the building and elevator are marble, and dripping water creates a slip hazard.  BE SURE TO DRY OFF before entering the building.

BARBECUE GRILL
We encourage our residents to use the barbecue grill and tables located at the North end of the pool deck.  However, we ask that you place all trash in the containers and wipe the tables.  As a courtesy to your fellow residents, please clean the barbecue grill after use.  We appreciate your cooperation.

TRASH CHUTE

There is a trash chute located on each floor in the North Tower marked "Refuse Only".
Do Not  force large boxes into the chute because they will jam and cause a backup of trash for the rest of our residents.  Please place the boxes in the refuse room and call the concierge at 957-1956 or manager at 957-3957 and we will have a staff member pick up your large cartons.

LOCKERS

There are eight lockers in the women's locker room and eight in the men's.   The lockers are to be used for the time you are in the shower, sauna, exercise room or pool.  They are not to be used as a permanent locker.  Please remove your lock after each use.

KEYS FOR CONTRACTORS/DELIVERIES

We cannot provide keys or accept deliveries for units expecting furniture deliveries, contractors or rental agents.  We do not have staff available to perform this function.  If you will not be in your unit for an expected delivery, you may leave a key with the concierge and they will give the key to the delivery person, contractor, rental agent, etc.  A permission form authorizing entry to your unit must be completed before a key can be released to anyone.

OWNER INFORMATION

For emergency and security purposes, we must know the names of residents in the building.  We have instituted a new computer program.  Within the next few weeks, forms will be mailed to all owners and renters requesting the information necessary for our files.  We expect all owners and renters to complete and return the forms as quickly as possible.  For your convenience, a self-addressed stamped envelope will be enclosed.

As a reminder, there is a $50 fee each time the unit owner rents their unit; however, there is no charge for a lease renewal.  Units must be rented for a minimum of sixty days and no more than three times in any calendar year.

TECH TIP

Tis the season for cool weather!  Check your HVAC unit for heat.  To ensure proper operation, perform the following test:

Turn your thermostat to the OFF position;
Raise your temperature 5 degrees
Turn your thermostat to the HEAT  position
Be sure the fan is always on AUTO

At this time your compressor should start and the heat will flow from the registers in each room within a few minutes.

If you wish to return to air conditioning,
Turn your thermostat to the OFF position;
Lower your thermostat to the temperature desired;
Turn your thermostat to the COOL POSITION
Be sure the fan is always on AUTO
